About Jason O'Malley

My Background

With over 20 years of experience teaching mathematics, Jason has honed his craft to convey concepts in math in a simplistic way. He infuses his instruction with the "coach approach", which is believing that others are human beings with vast potential and engaging with them  by asking questions to facilitate their growth and goal achievement.

Jason  is a Life Coach that recieved his training at the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT), one of the premiere coach training schools in the world. He also has certifications as a teacher's aide through the United States Department of Labor, facilitator through the Facilitator Awarenes and Competency Training System (F.A.C.T.S.) as well as Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) and Offender Workforce  Development Specialist (O.W.D.S.).

Most of Mr. O'Malley's experience is in  teaching pre-algebra and algebra, and his teaching career started when he was 15 years old and  he helped his mother get her G.E.D. Ever since, he has been helping others become proficient in math. However, he also has experience in helping others with university-level mathematics: college algebra, calculus, and statistics. He  has hundreds of hours of coaching individuals and groups to reach their goals as well as facilitating classes based on goal-setting, habit tracking, and practicing non-violent resolutions to conflict.

Jason is committed to educating others by using his gifts to facilitate the learning and growth of others. He truly believes that by embodying optimism and hope, he can help others to see that circumstances do not have define who we are: "We define who we are by the choices we make. So, be intentional and choose well."

Why is algebra so complicated?

or

What do we need to know algebra for anyways?

The answer to both of these questions comes down to perception. If I believe something is too difficult or is useless, then it will be for me. If I believe that I am able and that I will learn something valuable, then I will. So, change the way you approach learning and doors will open: secrets will be revealed.
